One of my students has a Weimar flute. It is falling apart after 18 months. Repairmen won't work on it and I can't fix it either. Beware!

Weimar, be they flutes, clarinets, baritones, trumpets, whatever. They're Chinese TRASH. read this: http://reviews.ebay.com/The-Insider-apos-s-Guide-to-Buying-a-Beginner-Flute_W0QQugidZ10000000000818282
This is what Weimar falls under. They could give children lead poisoning, for God's sake!!! Just make a wise decision and don't buy one, they're crap.

My dad bought me a Weimer flute for my birthday off Ebay... about two years ago. I'm in the music program at school and I'm also in a winds ensemble. I've only had one minor problem with it a year and a half ago, and then there was some major damage done recently (my friends were fiddling with my flute and when I got it back, there was a dent).

The top music store in Montreal, Twigg, was able to fix my flute both times at a reasonable price. There are no more dents and the sound quality is fine.

I guess I'm an exception then. Although Twigg had never heard of Weimar before, they managed to fix it.

I'm borrowing/looking at buying a Weimar Eb clarinet from my friend. from what i've experienced with it so far, it's fairly good quality. not amazing, but not terrible. i haven't been able to find any information on them either.
