For many years now Pure Electric bikes have been used all over the world as a way to commute and to take advantage of the environmentally friendly nature of public transport. However, the question that many people ask is what are electric bikes used for? It can be difficult to answer that question as no two electric bikes will be the same, each will have its own pros and cons, but with a little bit of research you should be able to find a model that suits your needs. One of the most popular ways in which people use electric bikes is for commuting to work, however it is also possible to use them for recreational purposes as well. The two main categories under which the models fall are electric bikes used for commuting and those that are designed to be used on their own as a means of transportation.

The two main factors in determining whether or not an electric bike is the right one for you is firstly the price and secondly the level of enjoyment that you get from riding one. In terms of price the two primary factors that come into play are the amount of power provided by the electric motor and the size of the motor. Typically the more powerful motors will cost more money but often turn out to be a better option due to the fact that they provide more power and for the same amount of power, give you better acceleration and cornering abilities. In terms of size, the smallest motor that you will find in an electric bike is around twenty-four volts, though this can increase or decrease depending on what you are using the bike for. Many people use their electric bikes for short distances in the city as these can reach up to thirty five miles per charge.

If you are looking for a bike that is both cheap to buy and easy to maintain then you should consider purchasing a recumbent electric bike as they are both easy to ride and easy to fix if anything should go wrong. Many people use their electric bikes for longer distance trips and these can reach up to eighty five miles per charge depending on the model in question. As previously mentioned the amount of fun that you have with your bike is important so if you want to use it for more than just commuting then you should really consider purchasing one of the larger electric bikes that are available.
