Global production of Green Tea is estimated at around 1.7 Million tonnes. China is currently the largest producer of Green Tea resulting in over 80% of the global production. India is a very large producer of Green Tea and as such accounts for a large amount of supplies that are sent to various parts of the world

It is believed that Ceylon green tea was first packed in small bags and transported by caravan from the country of Ceylon in Asia to India, where it was soon popular as a drink. These small packets of Ceylon green teas were then packed into clay pots and fired in a kiln to make the tea. Inevitably, due to the nature of manufacturing, they soon became very dry and brittle and the pots cracked.

The Chinese then began to dry and refine the tea making the final product known as Green Tea Powder. This powder was fermented, and later, became known as Longjing tea. The earliest records of Green Tea being used date back to over four thousand years ago in China. As history has it, the drink was associated with many legends and it was only in the nineteenth century that the health benefits of the tea began to be appreciated by westerners. Today, many health food stores stock Green Tea Suppliers and the tea are fast becoming a very popular health drink.Green Tea Suppliers

It also gives hints towards the ever-growing demand for coffee and tea. There are very few factors you should consider in order to buy a branded coffee. Most people with a middle-class background prefer to buy loose coffee with an unpacked sale. This not only spoils the actual essence of coffee but also caffeine in coffee also gets affected due to moisturizers and humidity. Thus, if you buy loose or packed coffee, the coffee blender and mixer would also give different tastes.
