The dynamic there that looked most like a Pi symbol to me was the Trill. It's actually a "tr" squished up in old, fancy script.

Hope that's what you were after...Although I'm not sure how trills function as dynamics. Figured they'd be evident from the rhythm.

It is a trill figure. Dynamics are written below the line of music.
