When the blinking power LED displays on your Netgear router it means that the router cannot connect with the internet network. You can follow the steps below to update the router firmware to try and resolve the issue:
• Step 1: Connect your PC to the Netgear router using an Ethernet cable
• Step 2: Type the following in the browser: http://www.routerlogin.net.
• Step 3: Log in using the router admin username and password.
• Step 4: Press ‘ADVANCED’ and select ‘Administration’ or ‘Settings.’
• Step 5: Click ‘Check’ and search for the firmware or router update.
• Step 6: Wait for the router to locate the new firmware then click ‘Yes’ to complete the update.
If you find that the power LED light on your Netgear router keeps blinking even after you update the firmware, you can call the Netgear customer service number and ask for additional assistance.
