Registered: 8/17/2004 | posted: 8/17/2004 at 3:06:06 PM ET I have a major question that may seem obvious, but can anyone play the guitar? im short and have sorta small hands and short fingers but am so determined to start playing, do you think its possible for me to play anyway or will it be too hard?

Since I don't know your age, I don't know if your fingers are small because you are small in size or because you are younger. If you are younger keep working, because you will grow into it. Get a professional teacher to help guide you. If you are small in size keep working but realize that you may need to work harder to learn to reach some of the mroe difficult fingerings. As i said if you want to do something bad enough you will find a way.

| posted: 8/22/2004 at 4:42:00 PM ET i agree. i've been playing guitar for about 4 years. i just now started getting serious with it but found myself in a rut becasue i never learned how to read music. Now i have to learn to read music before i can learn the guitar. Just keep at it and you will get it. I think its a great instrument.

teaches music and especially thoery must learn how to read music, and thoery/ but def. go for it!
