#beginquote# Dolphins make music, kris, and birds, and frogs and crickets. The howl of a wolf, or the hoot of an Owl, saying "This is my hunting area, don't trespass"' is Music.. the din of a parliment of crows confirming that they belong to a tribe is Music, and is no different to the torn jeans and maltuned 5ths peer group identification mechanism of the Punk era.. From peer group bonding in the Stone Age grew Oral Tradition, where stories and myths were passed from generation to generation whithout the written word, using Music. And every modern generation, just like most ancient ones, use Music to proclaim their status as mature independant adults. A liking for Opera, or Chopin, indicates the membership of a particular demographic group, a liking for country and western another. The more things change, the more they stay the same, it seems. #endquote#
