#beginquote# Hi. Can you tell me why there is a 1/4 note rest above the whole note in the left hand. Then there are 3 more quarter notes. The whole note is held down with the little finger while the other quarter notes are played with the the other fingers. I just don't understand the rest above the whole note other than it goes with the other quarter notes. Is that just the way Dan Coates wrote the arrangement of Somewhere Over the Rainbow? It doesn't seem to change the counting? Thanks for your help. :? #endquote#
