#beginquote# I would look less at the name brand and more at the condition of the instrument (along with the price). You will have plenty of time to get a high dollar, brand new instrument once you know for sure if you will be doing this for a while. A good artist will not need a name brand to sound good, just a good instrument. However, I have a selmer trumpet and it truly is a great sounding instrument.
