#beginquote# Greetings: I'm a 62 year-old guy with a totally insane desire to pick up the horn again, which I last played at age 17. I know; it's crazy to even think about what this involves (building an emboucher), but I have a burning desire to do this. I'm musically literate, played the flute for years, but just don't like the sound of that instrument. The trumpet is calling to me. Okay, maybe I just need to get this out of my system, but I need some feedback. I walked into a music store a couple years ago,m picked a horn, took it in the back room and was able to get a few notes, played a blues riff. I still remember all the fingerings. What do you think? Am I out of my mind to even think about playing again? Would appreciate any responses. Many thanks, bixntram #endquote#
