#beginquote# The cost of lessons are all over the map - my teacher charges $60 per hour, but I've been with her for a good while and I don't know what she charges new students. I've seen fees has high as $100 plus and some around $50 per hour - I really don't know what fees would be for a half-hour. Some Mannes College of Music has group lessons and I think Juilliard does - but even that is up there. To be honest, I really wouldn't want to be part of a group, can't see how that can possibly work. Maybe some other posters can pitch in. It's hard to find a good teacher, but that's universal. I can watch a dance class and can tell in a few minutes if the teacher is a good teacher or not, music is so different and I suppose the only way to tell is to take a few lessons but the only thing I would have to go on is "gut instinct" and hope I'm right. Hope that day dosen't come, but this time will be prepared to make a move.:) #endquote#
