#beginquote# For learning music, violin is a great instrument. In fact, in many places students start on violin as early as age five. If you want to learn violin I would strongly suggest finding out if there are any Suzuki Strings classes in your area. Suzuki is a great and time tested method for learning to play an instrument, and as you are an older student you would likely catch on very quickly. Piano is also a great place to start, but I would tend to agree with Pete. If you are interested in the violin then there is no reason to not start with it right away. Good luck! --------------------------- Chad Criswell Director of Bands Western Dubuque High School www.musicedmagic.com #endquote#
