#beginquote# Not to sound too geeky, but I actually saw an episode of a show on TLC called Myth Busters where they spent a thirty minute segment trying to bust this myth (that a voice can shatter glass). In the end I think they came to the conclusion that yes, its possible, if you have the right kind of glass and you can sing at precisely the right pitch to make the glass vibrate properly. It also has to do with how focused the sound is. For example, they tried to do it with just a plain box speaker to amplify the sound of the singer but it didn't work. The second time they put a cover over the speaker to allow the sound to only come out through a smaller hole pointed at the glass. Instant shatter that time. I even found the link to the notes form that episode:

Interesting to learn about this stuff, although I doubt I'll ever use it... lol --------------------------- Chad Criswell Director of Bands Western Dubuque High School www.musicedmagic.com #endquote#
