#beginquote# Same to you suzyq. Your well wishes are just a bit early though. I love Thanksgiving. At our church, we have a community oriented service with all the churches in our small town. Our adult and childrens' choir sing some appropiate songs, and the leaders of the different churches read from scripture and there is a brief sermon, and a collection for the food pantry so the less fortunate can share a Thanksgiving meal with their families. This year there is a service in a city just north of us which is sponsored by NPM, which is the National Association of Pastoral Musicians, a fancy name for choir directors, singers and musicians. the program is called The "Saint Cecelia Sing",(she is the patron saint of musicians). It is a gathering of choir members and musicians to celebrate their ministry. This is the night before our service, so Thanksgiving week will be a music filled one for me. It is however a little hectic, because the practices are on the same night as our choir, so I head downtown for a half hour practice, then back to our church for the last half hour of our rehearsal. It's well worth it though, because the music is so inspiring and beautiful! Plus, It's an oppertunity to meet and sing with members of ohter choirs throughout our Diosese. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it. I am a fragment of my imagination #endquote#
