#beginquote# THis is the advantage and the disadvantage of TABS and notes. YOU have to determine where you play the note on the fretboard. For example, you could play an A on the 5th fret of the 6th string, or the open 5th .. the 12th fret of the 5th string or the 2nd fret of the 3rd. The notes do not indicate which one you use, it is up to you to find the most suitable position. Certainly, when you get to the 5th fret on the 1st, you would not play lower notes on open srings or lower on the 1st but across the fretboard. It soulds like you have a fair idea what you are doing already, it would not be hard for you to find the positions. Remember, as long as you don't jump an octave, you are playing the same note anyway, no matter which string or fret you need to use it on to make it fit. Take me to your Lieder... #endquote#
