i am doing a report on Thomas Tallis and i would like to now what kind of instruments they used between 1705 and 1758. Thanks

From violins I have to mention one of the finest. Viola d'amore. This one has 14 strings. Seven of them are resonance strings. A bit larger that a violin we know. The name comes from the soft and a bit lower sound. Also the decorating is quite romantic.
