This essay was written by professional writer of papercoach. Discovering your individuality is critical to attaining freedom from the own worst critic, yourself. Further, locating and accepting your identity can allow you to think in yourself and help you live a free life. Self-acceptance is something a few people dread but, in the case of Anthem. Equality 7-2521 has been forced to prevent it. In Anthem by Ayn Rand, the personality Equality was residing in an oppressed variant of our lives. I sensed this due to many conditions but mainly by how in which the character perpetually referred to himself as"we" rather than"I". Although this might be easily overlooked, I believe this is essential to the comprehension of the way Equality's culture functioned. While living amidst a perception that everyone ought to be the exact same and rule follower, that free thought is a thing of the past and just a sin. "It is a sin to think words no others think and to put them down upon a paper no others are to view. (Rand part one). Throughout the novel, Equality slowly starts to realize the injury the word"we" has done . More than the term"we" but what dwelling by"we" entailed. Equality was an inquisitive person unusually interested in innovations and science. Though because of the oppressed world he lived in, and his standing in society, creating innovations and studying science was prohibited. He slowly began progressing throughout the publication, daring to love someone and going to a secret area to research science were all examples of this. He ultimately worked up the courage to reveal his scientific findings which was when it clicked for him. When he was sent to prison for thinking freely. He ran away eventually ready to discover his identity and find out about who he was, he said something incredibly persuasive yet straightforward when he started referring to himself as"I"" I'm, I thinkI shall." (Rand) Throughout his experiences and his observations of the society surrounding him, he eventually accepted that alive since"I" was strong and that having energy, or even liberty was not by any means a"sin". Accepting himself free to learn more about the world around himand not feel like he was doing something ill-advised. It let him vocalize naturally rather than dread punishment from"we". He discovered that"I" does much more than"we". Thus, finding your identity sets you free, whether it be in a fictional world in actual life. Learning to accept that you are, mending what your not happy with, and embracing the new you grants you freedom in your life that will enable you to do much more. Just like Equality's eureka moment, when he confessed who he was and decided he'd write his future.
