Well, I'm not sure if my classmates are having a hard time or not, since we were all assigned different composers. Our teacher has a HUGE encyclopedia of French Musicians and she asked each of us to randomly select a page number. Whatever composer was on that page number is who we have to do our paper on. So I don't think anyone else got Le Petomane.

I will ask at a library tonight. I asked my music teacher already, and she said that she wasn't familiar with Petomane and would have to "learn about him" from my paper.

Gook luck in finding info for your paper.

It's odd that you teacher dosen't know who Petomane is, maybe you teacher does know and it's her/his way of teaching you how to research.

Keep us up-to-date.

I am sorry that you thought my link was a perverted site. It is not. I am the prude Canadian here and I just didn't feel like doing your homework for you. First of all I think you need to explain to your teacher, who should think twice about assigning random "composers" that you have accidentally chosen an innapropriate subject for your project. All that Le Petomane or Joseph Pujol is known for, is his talent for farting.
He was a vaudville star and was hired by the Moulon Rouge in 1892. He did fart impressions such as the timid fart of a young girl or the fart of a new bride on her wedding night. He would blow out candles on stage and fart out the song O Sole Mio.
I am sorry if this offends you but this is the composer you have chosen.
If I was your parent I would be having a little chat with your teacher right now. I wouldn't be too impressed.

Do a Google search on Joseph Pujol. You will find plenty of information on your chosen composer.

Toonz,

Either the teacher who assigned this composer, didn't know who this composer was or didn't have the sense to find out before assigning this for a research paper.

I totally agree with you, the parents of these students should have a word or two with this teacher.

Toonz I know this is off topic, but how do you get that icon under your name?

I've noticed it on some of the others thanks.
