Dolphins make music, kris, and birds, and frogs and crickets.
The howl of a wolf, or the hoot of an Owl, saying "This is my hunting area, don't trespass"' is Music.. the din of a parliment of crows confirming that they belong to a tribe is Music, and is no different to the torn jeans and maltuned 5ths peer group identification mechanism of the Punk era..
From peer group bonding in the Stone Age grew Oral Tradition, where stories and myths were passed from generation to generation whithout the written word, using Music.
And every modern generation, just like most ancient ones, use Music to proclaim their status as mature independant adults.
A liking for Opera, or Chopin, indicates the membership of a particular demographic group, a liking for country and western another.
The more things change, the more they stay the same, it seems.

If your religous it says that fallen angels taught us music. You know the ones that left their post at the garden of eden. But thats if you think the bible is true. It started with angels.

Personally, I believe that music stems from flatulence. While this may sound "funny," when you think about it, our gas is a natural instrument. Just imagine how delighted our ancient ancestors would have been when they discovered that flatuating to particular beats produced an aesthetically pleasing affect.

Regarding the "religion" comment, I should point out that the story you qoute comes from the book of Enoch, which is not considered canonical by either Jews or Christians. Lest someone think that religion discourages music, consider that the Bible commands God's children to "make music" or "make a joyful noise" several times in both the Old and New Testaments. Music has always been an integral part of Judeo-Christian tradition, and most Jews and Christians would reject the notion that music is the product of "fallen angels." Scripture seems pretty clear on the matter - music is a gift from God.

Well music was played in heaven for God also. Its not a evil thing. Besides, most all of those that were taught how to play were wiped out by the flood. I dunno which of Noah's children could play? But it seems like most of the insturments would have been lost and unless they were knowledgable about the craft of making these insturments... well I guess most of the pre flood music would be lost including all that was by the angels. It seems to me that whatever was used after that point was most likely man made. or something like that.
