cuphead is a run and gun video game. It is the creation of Studio MDHR and stars a run-and-gun character called Cuphead. In the game, players take on the role of Cuphead, who is sent on a quest to retrieve the souls of runaway debtors. In addition to running and shooting, players will also have to collect a variety of items from the environment.

Unlike most modern video games, Cuphead does not require any specific computer or hardware to play. It can be played on a computer or a mobile device. The game's developers have explained that the game is difficult, and that it is a retro-styled game. There are multiple difficulty levels, and over 30 boss battles in the game.

The game was inspired by cartoons of the 1930s. The brothers both grew up watching cartoons on VHS compilations. They also shared the same aesthetic taste and an interest in gameplay. The brothers first tried to make a Cuphead game back in 2000, but their first attempt was unsuccessful. However, after the success of Super Meat Boy, the brothers decided to try again. They hired a Romanian developer, a Brooklyn animator, and a jazz musician to help them create the game's unique visuals.

The game's difficulty was challenging, but rewards persistent players. In addition, the game's art and sound were praised. Its platforming battles also included challenges that require pattern recognition, which required a lot of patience and skill.
