Can a foreigner own a house in Dubai? The answer to this question will, of course, depend on the laws of the country in which one holds citizenship. Each country has its own property law and its own ways of determining who can legally own property and how they can do so.

Many people move to Dubai because they want to escape the tax rates and legal structure of their native countries. Others decide to Buying property in Dubai with Bitcoins (or simply the United Arab Emirates) because they prefer the relative political stability that comes with such a location. However, these decisions may not always be correct. Property laws are subject to change and can even sway when an election occurs. Consequently, it is important to understand the laws and the restrictions on ownership that apply in the country in which you intend to make the purchase.

Many foreigners are not aware that they may have to pay a fee for property inspections in some cases. If you are considering purchasing property in Dubai, you should ask about this fee and whether it is required by law. Some laws require that a buyer is informed of the property inspection and what duties he or she is obligated to perform. Others have no such requirement. Your best bet is to find out before you buy any property.
