Registered: 10/22/2003 | posted: 11/4/2003 at 1:05:24 AM ET All music instruments are hard at first. Practicing sucks big time if you aren't playing an instrument you enjoy. Pick one you would really like to play, if you love your instrument, putting in the time to master it will be a breeze.

As long as the player doesn't have a physical issue with playing the instrument, the best choice is the one that creates the most excitement. Practice is more like play then work when you love the instrument you are practicing. This leads to early success and esteem which re-energizes the effort.
