| posted: 5/20/2003 at 12:10:27 PM ET i play the alto saxophone it is relatively unique and very cool i have enjoyed it since i started playing in band and it is also has a tradition and it's very own family (berry sax ,tenor,alto) i hope you chose alto saxophone or either one good luck on your decision!!!!

I like Rock and Jazz mostly, if you shared those musical intrests some good instruments to choose from might be: Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano, Saxaphone... ect the list goes on. Registered: 9/3/2003 | posted: 9/10/2003 at 5:19:38 PM ET I've played the alto sax for one year and recently switched to bari and those three aren't the only one. Originally there were 14 different saxophones. The ones used the most are BbSoprano, EbAlto, C Tenor, Bb Tenor,and Eb Baritone saxophones. There are others that are lesser known such as the Eb Sopranino, Bb Bass, and Eb Contrabass saxophones. Sorry went off on a tangent, but you should definiely choose what you like best.
