I posted this thread because i have been shut out of marching band for my entire highschool career {not by choice}. Since i saw my 1st DCI show {Spirit of Atlanta 1980} it has always been my dream to march. This year is my last chance to do so. i've had 7 years of musical experience in the low brass but have also learned some precission. I have no peripherial vision and am nearly blind in my right eye, and this has NEVER slowed me down on anything. Actually i believe there was a tenor player with the same conditions in the Blue Coats.

With all considered, provided i make the line this year: should i be able to participate in the drill, will i need to modify my way of learning the drill, and how do i convince my director of this?

Any insight is much appreciated!
