| posted: 6/6/2009 at 2:27:03 AM ET Which of three instrument (clarinet, trumpet or saxophone) would you recommend for a young 8 year boy now learning to play a musical instrument. He has seen all three instruments, but is undecided.

| posted: 11/22/2009 at 7:00:13 PM ET Either of these would be fine for him, and the earlier he starts playing, the better he'll be when he's older. If he does get tired of playing his instrument, just move up to a similar, but harder one. If he's having a really hard time picking an instrument, find a lesson place that will let him play each one until he finds the one he wants.

It doesn't matter what age you are.
As long as you have a proper teacher to teach your child step by step, starting from the basics.
Plus when they get older they might not be bothered or they become less interested in it because they didn't do it when they were younger.
The younger they learn how to play an instrument the better as alot of people would say.
And as for what instrument I don't know really.
I guess they're all sort of the same?

I would like to recommend trumpet because trumpet is more suitable for a 8 year boy compare to other.
