I've been out of pocket for a while and haven't posted. One thing I still see are the same types of questions over and over.
Those of us who are professionals don't mind answering good, well thought out questions. BUT:

1. If you want to play your instrument better, A)practice or B) take lessons or C) both. There are no secrets.

2. If you do not know how to play an instrument (or sing) and want to learn, A) take a music class like band, choir, or orchestra (if you're in school) or B) take lessons. Then A)practice. There are no secrets.

3. If you play by ear and cannot read music, A) get a private teacher and B) practice. The skills it takes to learn to READ music are too complex to tell you how to do it here.

Sounds like I'm griping, but really I'm helping to cut some of the chaff from the board.
