Find a good teacher and you will be on your way to learning to play the piano and to read music (it's part of the package).
Do you have a piano or keyboard? I know what it's like to start piano lessons. When I first started to learn - those notes looked liked lots of lines, circles and dots and the only thing I could find was middle C on the piano. Would you believe that I grew up with music, my father was an accompanist and my mother a contralto.
So my advice is to "go for it". It's not easy but we're here to help you get through the "growing pains".
I'm sure you will "hear" from the more knowledgeable musicians with lots of help.
Keep us up-to-date, enjoy learning to play the piano and in the process learn more about music.
