Hi,

Welcome to the forum.

What instrument do you play and I'm not sure what you mean ---sahara crossing--

When it comes to practicing a piece for a while - I usually go on to something else or take a short break.

It all depends on how things are going and every day is a little different.

Hope this helps a little.

You are giving credit to the wrong person and don't worry, this is the last reply you'll get from me.

I don't understand the Sahara bit, guess you must play a string instrument and practice (whatever the instrument played) takes, concentraion, discipline and hard work.

Suzy,
I think she was answering trac48 from another thread and got the threads mixed up. I get the feeling there is a language barrier here.

Sometimes when you are practicing, the muscles of the body get tired from the repetitiveness and start making mistakes on their on. What you do is STOP. Take a break. Come back later and resume the practice.

Sahara Crossing is an easy orchestral piece by Richard Meyer. The Bass part probably IS easier than the violin part.

Maintube - you are right, guess I misunderstood her - my apologies.

I will take your good advice on practicing to heart. There are times that repition drives me nuts. Sometimes I'll go on to another piece and return to the first one. Every day is different -

Your advice is going into my memory bank, and when repeating something a few times just dosen't work, break time.

Tamoshia - I goofed - your message was meant for Trac and for some reason I thought you meant it for me.

I'm sorry and please keep in touch with us.

Follow Maintube's advice on practicing - he's the expert.
