What are the specific problem you are having. That will help narrow it down a bit.
The manual is 94 pages long.

I can't seem to get it to perform various functions and wondering if there is a software program or tutorial out there that is more explicit for my PSR 295.

I have a yamaha psr 340 keyboard. I would assume that it is a similar setup! If so this might be helpful. Style = All drum patterns (these can be changed i.e. 4x4's, 16 beats etc...) by using the plus and minus sign on the right hand side of the keyboard (above the keys). This is the same for button marked voice, which carries all instruments i.e. piano, strings etc... Tempo is adjusted by the plus and minus keys on the left hand side of the keyboard.
