i wan to ask about theory
if the question ask
1. what is the time signature?
i should answer 4/4 or write 4 crotchet beats in bar
2. What does it mean?
4 crotchet beats in bar.
is all the answer above can accept?

A time signature tells for the top number; how many beats in a measure, and the bottom number; which note gets one beat.
For example, 4/4 time means that there are 4 beats to a measure and the quarter note gets one beat. 3/4 time means that there are 3 beats to a measure and the quarter note gets one beat.

If the question is, "What is THE key signature?" then 4/4 (or whatever it might be) is the simple answer.
If the question is "What is A key signature?" then see the above answer.

You are, of course, correct. I meant TIME signature. Must have been an LSD flashback.
