A good music teacher, I would suggest, and if that isn't possible, a basic book from the ""progressive"" range, depending on what instrument you like.
A teacher is far faster, and, if they are good, a lot more fun.

I have just started to learn how to read music. After I am spending time learning to read music, what is a good instrument to start practicing what I have learned that is relatively simple and not expenses as well.

Most teachers reccomend piano or violin. However, if everyone took piano or violin, there would be no orchestra! Try an instrument you may be interested in. Good luck
