Registered: 4/14/2006 | posted: 9/24/2006 at 10:47:38 PM ET It's mostly about acoustics. A music instrument maker could make any instrument in any key if he wanted to, but the majority of those variations are not going to sound good or are going to have intonation problems on certain notes.
