I am going to college next year to begin my studies and the school has offered to keep me as their teacher. I would greatly appriciate anything you can donate to my class. Thank you in advance

Another idea if you need instruments is to apply for a grant through the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation at http://www.mhopus.org. They provide free refurbished instruments to music education programs across the United States.
You may also want to contact your local or state arts council. In Iowa, the Iowa Art's Council provides grants to individuals and schools that meet specific criteria. You might be able to find something that meets your needs.
A final, small suggestion would be to keep an eye out for when your local area Staples office supply store has their annual Teacher Appreciation Day. They give out bags of office supply goodies for teachers as long as you have some kind of proof that you are an educator.
Hope these suggestions help, and the best of luck to you in the future!
