What do you think is the most difficult to play? What about the easiest?

Oboes Rule! (but flute is ok too)

well i think trumpet is the easiest and the hardest to play. here are my reasonings......

Easy:Three buttons, repeditive fingering, ability to play a song without even moving any fingers.

Hard:High notes are killer, speed on the buttons, sore lips after practice,

well those are the reasonings I thought of. I like trumpet cuz its easy and hard to play. I think saxophone is also difficult too,but its just because I only have been playing for 4 months. all those buttons.

hehe, yeah, i feel bad for our 1st chair trumpet player, that one solo's got to be awful to play. But Wouldn't the same scinario occur on a tuba, baritone, or French horn. Oh, and you'll get used to all the keys on a saxophome really soon. All the instruments I play have a bunch of keys.

Oboes Rule! (but flute is ok too)

well the trumpet is the soprano of the brass section its different for the trombones and tubas because there mouthpieces are shaped difirently. trumpet is the hardest i believe beacause the moutpiece is so small and u really have to tighten the lips for high notes. and because of those tight lips the more air u have to use. and the more air u use the louder it gets. belive me my neighbors are not to happy about me trying to hit the double high C(my high B flat is just as much as a killer as the high C). i think one even screamed when they heard me at 9:00 AM.

i've heared that the french horn is the hardest instrument to play although i've never tried it. i have tried playing the trumpet and it is pretty hard you've gotta hear the pitches before you play them.

French horn isn't that hard. I played french horn once. its just in an akward position to play in. i mean the whole thing is sideways.

French Horn is no harder to blow than the trumpet. However, because the overtone series are so close on the Horn, the potential for wrong notes is great. It takes a very good sense of hearing pitch to play Horn properly.

in a marching band, baritone is the hardest instruement to play. i say this because it is 7 lbs and you have to hold it up in front of you, and play!
