Lately when I've been playing my cello, the bow doesn't seem to be gripping the strings when I play lightly and kind of plays an ugly squeeky harmonic. It's not a rosin problem because I've been using a crapload. My strings are pretty old, as is my bow hair. Do I just need new strings or hair?

Most probably yes, new hairand strings, also, it is possible that old rosin os caked on the strings, try using rbbing alcohol, just a drop, on a rag.
