Hi, I wonder if any of you can answer this question for my music homework because I havent a clue seen as I have just moved schools from s.africa.

What is a semitone and a tone and what is the difference?

A tone is a sound of definite pitch and duration. It is the interval of a major second. A semi-tone is a minor second.
