I went to two free concerts Juilliard and Mannes. Juilliard's program:
William Schumann (former president), Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.5 and Bartok Cocerto for Orchestra Sz116. It was ok. I liked some of Bartok, no all of it.
Mannes, I liked this concert better because of the music on the progam Felix Mendelssohn, the Hebrides, Chopin's Concerto No. 2 in F minor played by a terrific young pianist and Brahms Symphony No. 1, C minor op. 68
On Saturday, my brother and I went to see "Most Happy Fella" - New York City Opera, and really enjoyed it. See it if you can.
Still hanging in there with the piano lessons, now trying to get a handle on Mozarts Sonata No. 545 and sometimes my fingers do what they want to.
Look forward to reading the latest news from the music forum

We haven't heard from toonz in quite a long time. I hope she's ok. I often wonder if she ever got her guitar.I'm looking forward to the warmer weather, and some more concerts. Best regards to you and all the regulars out there, including Pete and Maintube.

Things are fine down here, the weather is cooling off, and the students are restless, as usual.
The Hebrides is a favourite of mine, suzyq.
..pass me that treble clef, Mildred.
