what are brass instruments and how do they work?

A brass instrument is an instrament made of brass. Most brass instruments use a funnel mouthepeice that is buzzed to produce sounds. The buttons or slides of brass instruments make the different notes sound. Funnel mouth peices are the only type of mouth piece were you can play a whole scale.
