How did he die. One source says he died of advanced kidney disease and the other says rheumatic fever!

His cause of death has been interpreted many ways over the years.

If you watch "Amadeus" he is made out to be timid and weak (heart trouble) and dies of a heart attack.

It has also been speculated that he died from eating under-cooked pork.

Personally, I think he died of heart failure. It's not very romantic or dramatic as the events surrounding Beethoven's death, but the truth usually is pretty boring.

Actually herr Mozart died in the aftermaths of several diseases he had through his life. And no, he wasn't murdered by a jealous colleague.
