Hi everyone,

I've learned a lot about Halloween reading all these posts.

Halloween for me was and is just a day to dunk for apples and all the fun things that go along with the day and I hope all you enjoyed the day.

I wonder why Halloween became a popular day in the US? It is not celebrated as a specific holiday any other place in the western world, despite the Irish being almost everywhere..

Hi,

Found a website www.darkecho.com that gives a short history re: how halloween got started in the U.S. - you need to skip a few paragraphs, but there it is.

PS: found it on Google
