Which musical scale sounds the most scary?

The one played poorly by someone who thinks they are playing well.

... or anything played on a bagpipe! (kidding, I actually love pipes.)

eww I hate the bagpipes. I have a friend who plays bagpipes in school every st. patrick day. I could hear him 4 rooms away. Is there mutes for the bagpipes. I really hope so. Well I kinda like the bagpipes put they are just a little too loud.

I would imagine any minor scale could sound scary if the music is written appropiately. Even a major scale could be scary. I have a song I wrote in Emaj., that sounds a little scary, with a heavy metal edge. There are some bizarre chords which give it that sound.

I am a fragment of my imagination

The classic scary effect is a diminished chord...you would recognise this, if you heard it, as the chord that is played in silent movies when the lady is tied to the train line, and the train is coming....

I think the Chromatic scale sounds pretty scary, but some tunes in Major can sound a little bit scary.
