basic guitar tab is fairly easy, bottom line is low E, each number is a fret, chances are your tab wont show time sigs, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 or wholes, it should still show all other things like bends, hammers, pull offs, trills, tapping, ext. check out mxtabs.netmxtabs.net

Tablature is made for people who do not know how to read notes, meaning it's pretty simple, like the person above said. You look at a tab as a sideways picture of a guitar fretboard. The downside to tabs is that they don't show rhythms and other necessary musical elements that you would find in notated music, so you kind of have to guess. If it's a song you've heard before, then it's not really a problem.

that last answer was ok i guess. well how it works is this, the top line is the high E string the bottom line is low E and the so on
how you read it is depending on what line it is on if says 1 on high e it means to play on the e string to put your finger on fret 1 on pluck that note 2 is 2 fret .....and so on any more ?s email me at pcgamer_442@msn.com or go to http:www.wholenote.com that is all about guitar hope i helped!
