i totally and utterly completely disagree. i think that's a horrible comment to make as i play the keyboard and if you use the right backing and voice then keyboard can sound as good, even better than piano. Who agrees with me?

i think you should keep your comments to yourself.

Hi,

I've been taking piano lessons for about 4 1/2 years. My brother had given me a keyboard with 64 keys. It was ok at the very beginning, but you should give some thought to buying a piano - it has a different feel to it and eventually you will need all 88 keys to play scales, octaves, arpeggios and various pieces of music.

There are electronic pianos - you might just go to piano store and look at the many options you have.

Let us know what you think.

ok, for starters i'm just a beginner at keyboard, so i ain't even ready for a piano and plus not everyone's made of money, piano's are very expensive and not everyone can afford that if you know what i mean.

You might find The Piano Forum helpful. www.pianoworld.com - it's interesting to read what others say and maybe get some helpful suggestions.

I know that money dosen't grow on trees - it was a suggestion and looking doesn't cost a thing - just trying to help, no need to be for want of a better word sarcastic.

Sorry Suzyq. i understand that i was rather rude and hope i didn't offend you. Thsnk you for your help. I'll stick to my keyboard for a while though, right now I'm studying right hand chords, is that rather difficult or is it easy?

Thanx - sometimes I think my fingers have a will of their own and do what they want. I find basic chords to be easier than some and I'm left-handed.

Nothing can take the place of practice - maybe it will be easy for you. Keep us up-to-date and do check out the piano world - they have an adult beginners forum - beginners of all ages check in and everyone is very helpful and friendly, it doesn't matter what your level is. Keep at it.
