Registered: 7/23/2005 | posted: 7/30/2005 at 11:37:19 PM ET Okay, so I appreciated the answer to my last question of accidentals...but I didn't ask everything I wanted to...So now I understand that if an accidental is marked only in a certain measure, you play it that way in THAT measure, unless it's marked again elsewhere...Well what if it's the same two notes in ONE measure, but one of them is sharpened? For example, there's one measure, the first notes are a half note chord of G#, D, and F and then there's a quarter note chord of G,D,and F...If they're in the same measure, do you still play the second G as a sharp? I figured you would, since it's the same measure, it's just not marked because of that...

Yes, you do..it affects each note in that measure, unless canceled in it.
