thats not cool. Badsing loves the trumpets. We were the only 1s quite durring trumpet magic. The flutes were even to loud.

Registered: 7/30/2005 | posted: 8/2/2005 at 9:21:03 AM ET well some peolpe may like the trumpet and some may like the flute i play both. mostly flute though. and because of the flute (being soft) the person playing has to have a good dinamic skills to make the flute get loud and very soft.

I have heard pros with HUGE sounds. It is a matter of tone and air development.
My flute students are often too loud, and need to work on being able to play softer (especially up high) to properly balance with the other instruments.
On the other hand, many of my trumpet students are still learning how to have a loud sound that sounds good.

Registered: 5/26/2004 | posted: 8/8/2005 at 10:56:31 PM ET A well trained flutist (BTW most that I know prefer flutist to flautist) can play louder because of the better breath support and correctness of the embouchure. The flute, however, is not a acoustically loud instrument.
