Anon (maybe you should call yourself Jimmy)I play all styles of guitar inc bass, keyboards, and blues harmonica. I also play recorder just enough to teach, because I have to include it with guitar and keyboards in classes at the school I teach in here.
Much the same instruments you have done at school, it seems, so maybe music education isn't all that different in Australia to Scotland. Just a bit warmer

All the Scots guys I know here call each other "'Jimmy""
It is indeed something ongoing, and a good routine to get into.
Ask him to show you some Minor Pentatonics and blues scales.

are we known as drunks who wear kilts and have red hair and all that stuff?
we're not by the way. I have a kilt but that's only because i am a highland dancer ( incase you don't know, that's like traditional scottish dancing) you may have heard of this popular dance, it's called the Highland Fling??
has anyone heard of it??
p.s- highland dancing's great fun and a good way to keep fit!!
