This is great news!Bob Geldof of the Boontown Rats, who played the lead part of Pink in The Wall has convinced Roger Waters to settle his differences with the other band members. Bob has organized several concerts around the world to raise awareness of world hunger, most specifically in Africa. He was one of the organizers of the origional Live Aid concerts of past years. Pink Floyd will be playing in London with several other artists, which unfortunately includes Madonna. There will be a concert in Africa, featuring many artists from Africa. I beleive the series kicks off in Philadelphia in July. Unfortunately, Floyd will not be at that concert. All these concerts are free. I surmise that donations will probably be solicited by way of a world wide telethon of some sort. This is truly a great humanitarian effort on the part of the organizers, promoters, and the cities involved. It is unfortunate however the amount of money that is in the hands of the richest so called one percent of the world population, and most won't part with it. Just in professional sports in this country alone, there is enough money to wipe out poverty in the western hemisphere, with money to spare to start on the rest of the world. Such a pity, the greed that exists in the world. Anyway , I hope there will be more from Pink Floyd in the future.

""It is unfortunate however the amount of money that is in the hands of the richest so called one percent of the world population, and most won't part with it. .."""and so lets raise more funds from the 99% in the West who can ill afford it, and transfer it to the 1% elite in Africa who squandered it last time...? Huh?
With respect, Don, the idea stinks, and will be on the nose and a feel-good meaningless exercise all over again while ever Mugabe and the rest of the vultures who crawled out from under rocks and grabbed the reins of power when Colonialism became a dirty word hold sway.
Take me to your Lieder...
