Don't know about that one-I use Finale NotePad.

I like free stuff, I have to admit, which is why I use NotePad, but is there freeware of a program that will do what you describe?

Registered: 5/26/2004 | posted: 6/21/2005 at 11:12:19 PM ET www.sibilius.com is the correct web site URL. Look for scorch after you get in there. I use Finale 2000 and will soon update to 2003 or 05.
There capabities in the full( and expensive) versions of both finale and sibilius to play (midi) and notate directly to the score. most people I know simply write their music manually. Finale and Sibilius have free versions of their programs. Of the two, Finales is easier to use IMO. I know people who swear by either one and composers who like one generally don't "cross over" so to speak.
