No one needs insect screens or repelant around here, there are maybe one fly and one mosquito per day in summer, if that, and April is around twenty-six degrees C .
Maybe two days or so in winter you might need a coat...you will need your guitar, though

I will be bringing my guitar and I will loosen those strings for the trip.
Do you have a piano at your place, or will Suzyq have to bring her own?

It's hard to tell if you are really planning a party or it's just fun to dream - I've always wanted to visit Austraila, but it takes $$'s and a passport. One can always get a passport but $$'s is another matter. If
you really do have this party, I'll be with you in spirit, it sounds like a fun time and would be great to meet new friends. My debut will have to be put on hold for a while.

I would also like it if I had other musical friends but it just so happens that right now I don't. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of 40 year old women around here taking guitar lessons that I can share my experiences with.
So, Suzyq, ready or not you are coming to the party. What instrument are you bringing and what kind of snax are you bringing for all of us to share? Apparently Pete doesn't like carrots.
I like carrots.

That's what I love about this site, we are fiends and I'm so happy to have found this place. It's kept me going when sometimes I've felt like throwing in the rag. Never gonna do that. I don't know anyone in their 60's or for that matter any age who are taking music lessons.
I would bring wine and cheese, and can't think of what they call it - vegetable tray along with all kinds of chips, pretzels and all that good stuff. If it's outside, how about a barbecue? Sunny weather is a must and I guess I'd have to rent a piano or one of those electronic things. Don't think the world's ready for me.
Wouldn't it be great if all of us could meet sometime?

Interesting idea, Suzyq
A few bottles of good aussie wine are called for, I think...
