Nice rant, though.
I posted this question because, although I have been teaching music for decades, I have never encountered this term before.
So Art Music is Classical Music?

Sure, what maintube said. I think music IN GENERAL can be called art. But when one starts to DIVIDE MUSIC, then not all of it is art.
If everything is art, nothing is art.
